Description

Our client, a contract manufacturer for the medical device, defense, and life sciences markets, has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Engineer. This role will manage all repair and preventive maintenance activities associated with the injection-molding and CNC Machining departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues with Injection Molding equipment
  • Repair, install, and upkeep all equipment in Molding and Machining departments
  • Manage the daily maintenance activities of the Molding and Machining Departments
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance procedures for all Molding and CNC equipment
  • Develop process and systems for the efficient use of machines and materials
  • Schedule and coordinate all outside service providers to perform required calibrations and other required services to minimize production downtime
  • Train and develop Maintenance Technicians I, II, and III, promote employee understanding and adherence to safety regulations
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews of Maintenance Technicians I, II, and III
  • Other responsibilities as required

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • 5+ years of experience performing equipment maintenance
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions
  • Basic computer skills to input daily information
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds safely and without injury
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts with respect to part geometry, statistics, and technical reports
  • Ability to program molding machine robots
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues with the robots
  • Must adhere to all company policies
  • Must have a basic understanding of quality management systems related to ISO 13485
  • Must have a basic understanding of Work Instructions and their related data collection documents (e.g., run sheets)
