Description
Our client, a leader in the medical device field, has an immediate opening for a Senior Equipment Technician. This role will maintain and troubleshoot existing semiconductor processing equipment as well as define, install, and support new and next generation equipment for MEMs fabrication and Sensor Assembly processing.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of semiconductor/MEMS and assembly process and metrology equipment
- Maintain uptime on fab equipment; specifically Photolithographic, Etch, including DRIE, deposition, dicing, and measurement equipment
- Repair semiconductor process equipment in cleanroom production/laboratory environment
- Install and qualify new equipment
- Perform initial testing and diagnostic checks of equipment
- Define and execute maintenance procedures
- Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems
- Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment
- Perform equipment set-up changes, modifications, and upgrades, supporting production and development by running equipment and building proto-types and qualification samples
- Catalogue and maintain process tools and recommend replacement opportunities
- Improve current PM and troubleshooting tracking mechanisms
- Assist with minor facility maintenance/repair issues as needed
Requirements:
- 4+ years of semiconductor or MEMS equipment experience
- Formal electronics training
- Ability and willingness to work in a Class 100 cleanroom environment
- Experience with some/all of the following equipment types:
- Sputter/evaporator
- Plasma-etch/cleaning (preferably STS/SPTS systems)
- Photolithography inc. resist coaters and aligners (SUSS preferred)
- Bonder
- Dicing (Disco preferred)
- Metrology (profilometers, microscopes, film-thickness measurement)
- Wet-processing (chemical bench, spin-rinse-dryer)
- Strong vacuum system experience (maintenance and troubleshooting)
- Tool electronic troubleshooting and diagnostic experience
- Experience creating and following preventative maintenance schedules
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated
- Meticulous and quality-focused
- Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision
- Computer literacy and experience with MS Office products
- Permanent legal resident status is required
