Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Materials Coordinator to support inventory control, material flow, and logistics operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for receiving and tracking materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating shipments, and ensuring materials are available to support production schedules. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and sourcing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials and components.
  • Maintain organized inventory storage and ensure proper identification and traceability of materials.
  • Coordinate material kitting and staging to support production and assembly activities.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate material shortages, discrepancies, or schedule risks.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform transactions within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Support inventory audits, cycle counts, and documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and shipping documentation.
  • Track incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure visibility and on-time delivery.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and sourcing teams to prioritize material needs.
  • Assist with material handling, storage organization, and inventory movement throughout the facility.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and help maintain efficient inventory control processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready inventory environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, materials coordination, shipping/receiving, or a manufacturing support role.
  • Experience working with inventory management, ERP, or MRP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required and work in a hands-on environment.
