
Description
Our client, a provider of comprehensive diagnostics and engineering expertise for the energy industry, has an immediate opening for a Test Technician II. This role will support global customers by performing testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair services on a wide range of advanced test equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform testing and calibration on new production test equipment
- Diagnose, upgrade, test, and repair both customer-owned and company-leased equipment
- Accurately document test results and failure data in the production database
- Provide remote technical support, including phone-based troubleshooting for fielded systems
- Execute in-house repair, software/hardware upgrades, and calibration services
- Process and fulfill customer sales and service orders
- Recommend improvements to enhance product quality and production methods
- Utilize analog and digital troubleshooting techniques to diagnose issues to the board or sub-assembly level
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Customer Service Supervisor
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Electronic Technician Certificate preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar technician role
- Proven ability to test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic test equipment, particularly within the power industry
- Proficient with oscilloscopes, DVMs, frequency counters, and other diagnostic tools
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred
- Familiarity with nuclear industry calibration standards preferred
- Experience with high-voltage power industry test equipment preferred
