We are hiring on behalf of our client for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of complex electrical and control systems within a highly regulated, safety-critical manufacturing environment.

This role is ideal for a hands-on, technically strong engineer who thrives in multidisciplinary teams and can lead projects from concept through production and field support. The position plays a key role in delivering high-performance, compliant, and reliable systems across the full product lifecycle.

Note: This role requires U.S. work authorization and the ability to meet background screening requirements due to the nature of the work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical system design for complex products, subsystems, and test equipment, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface documentation
  • Develop electrical architectures and select components in alignment with industry and regulatory standards
  • Support full product lifecycle activities including design, integration, testing, validation, and sustainment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, manufacturing, quality, systems, EHS) to ensure successful project execution
  • Perform system integration, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis across electrical and control systems
  • Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and verification/validation activities
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and engineering change records
  • Participate in configuration management and formal change control processes
  • Conduct engineering analysis including trade studies, reliability assessments, and FMEA
  • Lead product testing efforts and drive design improvements based on results
  • Partner with suppliers and vendors to ensure components meet specifications, quality, and delivery expectations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Mentor junior engineers and support team development

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 6+ years of experience in electrical design and engineering (or 3+ years with advanced degree)
  • Strong experience in electrical system design, analysis, and integration
  • Proficiency with ECAD tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, Mentor, or similar)
  • Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional engineering environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
  • Experience with test planning, execution, and documentation
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders

Preferred Experience

  • Background in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
  • Experience with electro-mechanical systems, automation, or robotics controls
  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar)
  • Experience leading projects from concept through production
  • Knowledge of power electronics, embedded systems, or control systems
  • Experience with configuration management and formal change control processes
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies
  • LEAN Six Sigma certification or experience
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license

Additional Details

  • Travel: Up to 20% as needed
  • Work Environment: Combination of manufacturing and office settings
  • Background screening required prior to employment
