Quality Inspector
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support quality assurance activities within a manufacturing environment. This position will perform product and process inspections, assist with non-conformance and corrective action activities, support supplier quality initiatives, and help maintain quality documentation and systems.
The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality reviews, including final visual inspections, review of test data, and verification of process inspection records.
- Support supplier quality initiatives and utilize quality inspection and measurement equipment, including measurement systems, microscopes, and X-ray equipment.
- Assist with the disposition of non-conforming products and creation of Non-Conforming Product Reports (NCPRs).
- Support the maintenance and use of non-conformance tracking software as needed.
- Assist with Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and assist with implementing improvements to the quality system.
- Create, maintain, and revise quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, inspection forms, and related records.
- Support the preparation and review of First Article Inspection (FAI) reports received from suppliers or prepared for customers.
- Assist with employee training related to quality procedures, On-the-Job Training (OJT), and other applicable processes.
- Follow established safety, housekeeping, quality, and operational procedures.
- Maintain professional and ethical workplace standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and applicable industry standards.
- Experience with quality inspection and measurement equipment preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately maintain quality records and documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to follow established company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret-level security clearance if required for assigned work.
