Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Control Coordinator to support inventory management, logistics, and material flow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate inventory control, timely material availability, and efficient coordination of shipments across internal teams, vendors, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory accuracy, including receiving, storage, issuance, and cycle counting
- Ensure compliance with FIFO practices and GMP standards in all material handling activities
- Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments (domestic and international) via carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and couriers
- Track and expedite critical supplier shipments to support production timelines
- Facilitate material movement between facilities and vendor locations using company vehicle
- Maintain accurate receiving logs, inventory records, and material status reports
- Partner cross-functionally to fulfill material requests and support production needs
- Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies related to shipments and materials
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control and material flow
- Represent the company professionally during off-site deliveries and vendor interactions
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience in shipping/receiving or inventory control within a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of inventory management principles and ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
- Familiarity with ISO standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to meet DOT requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime/weekends as needed
- Experience with international shipping (SED/EEI) is a plus
