Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Materials Control Supervisor to lead shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material flow operations across multiple manufacturing facilities.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment where you'll oversee a team of Material Associates, ensure inventory accuracy, support production schedules, and drive efficient movement of materials throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities
Supervise daily shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling operations.
Lead and develop a team of 3–5 Material Associates across multiple manufacturing locations.
Ensure timely movement of materials to support production schedules and customer deliveries.
Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, physical inventories, and ERP transactions.
Coordinate closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Production Planning, and Inventory Control to resolve shortages and material issues.
Monitor material availability, work order staging, and inventory levels to support uninterrupted production.
Oversee shipping documentation, packaging, labeling, and customer shipments.
Support inventory accuracy, work order completion, and material traceability.
Partner with Accounting and Finance to resolve inventory discrepancies and purchase price variances.
Maintain compliance with GMP, FDA, ISO 13485, and other applicable quality standards.
Identify opportunities to improve inventory control, warehouse operations, and material flow processes.

Qualifications
Required
7+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, materials management, inventory control, or supply chain within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and work order-driven manufacturing.
Strong experience using ERP/MRP systems (Acumatica preferred).
Knowledge of lot and serial number-controlled inventory.
Experience supporting GMP, FDA, ISO, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Preferred
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in medical device manufacturing.
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
