Description

Our client, a recognized leader in the medical device industry, is seeking a skilled Finishing Technician to join their 1st shift manufacturing team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform finishing operations on precision-machined medical implants, including hand de-burring, blasting, tumbling, and polishing.
  • Conduct in-process inspections to ensure compliance with product specifications and quality standards.
  • Package, label, and prepare finished products for shipment in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Accurately complete workflow transactions within the ERP system (Oracle or similar).
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels of raw materials and consumables.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance activities and equipment upkeep.
  • Support root cause investigations and implementation of corrective actions related to product or process failures.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety protocols, GMP, and ISO standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors for equipment repairs and process improvements.
  • Review manufacturing documentation, including assembly, inspection, testing, and packaging procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical education or training preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in finishing, deburring, or polishing operations.
    • Prior experience in a regulated environment (medical device, aerospace, or similar) preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Ability to read, interpret, and follow detailed instructions, SOPs, and technical documentation.
    • Familiarity with ISO standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ERP systems.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time throughout the shift.
