Description
Our client is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair advanced automated systems at customer sites. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills, automation experience, and a customer-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair automated systems.
- Perform system qualification, testing, and site acceptance activities.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
- Complete preventive maintenance and corrective repairs.
- Provide daily progress updates and accurate service documentation.
- Communicate with customers to ensure timely issue resolution and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Management, and Customer Service teams.
- Recommend product and process improvements based on field experience.
- Follow all company quality, ISO, and safety procedures.
- Complete assignments within established timelines.
Qualifications
- Experience servicing automation or electromechanical equipment required.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, SQL databases, IP addressing, and Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).
- Comfortable working around energized equipment and in cold environments (down to -20°C).
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification or related education is a plus.
- Experience in industrial automation is required.
- Experience supporting customers in the life sciences, biotechnology, clinical, or pharmaceutical industries is preferred.
