Description
Finish Line Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician responsible for the assembly, modification, wiring, and repair of Universal Test Platforms (UTPs), test fixtures, cable assemblies, and related electromechanical equipment.
The ideal candidate will have strong soldering, cabling, and electromechanical assembly skills, with the ability to interpret engineering documentation and work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment. This position involves supporting both prototype development and production test hardware.
Key Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble Universal Test Platforms (UTPs), test fixtures, cable assemblies, and related electromechanical hardware.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and assembly instructions.

Perform modifications, repairs, and rework on electromechanical assemblies using hand and power tools.

Build, route, and terminate wire harnesses and cable assemblies according to engineering specifications.

Perform soldering of printed circuit boards (PCBs), connectors, and wire terminations.

Install and integrate electrical and mechanical components, including connectors, relays, switches, sensors, and related hardware.

Collaborate with engineering teams on prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting.

Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with engineering requirements.

Document assembly modifications and communicate fabrication issues to engineering personnel.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to established quality and safety procedures.
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Required Skills and Experience

Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics, mechanical drawings, and electrical wiring diagrams.

Experience soldering electronic components, connectors, and wiring assemblies.

Experience fabricating, routing, and terminating cables and wire harnesses.

Strong electromechanical assembly skills, including the ability to modify and repair assemblies.

Proficiency with common hand and power tools, including wire strippers, crimpers, drills, screwdrivers, and measuring devices.

Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
