Material Handler

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support production, inventory, shipping, and receiving operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This position is responsible for kitting and preparing materials according to work orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring materials are available to support production and engineering needs. The Material Handler will also assist with warehouse improvements, troubleshooting inventory issues, and training team members as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Kit, prepare, and deliver components and materials to production according to work orders.
• Perform shipping and receiving activities for production and engineering materials.
• Fulfill material requisitions and accurately document inventory movements.
• Maintain and support the cycle count program.
• Identify, investigate, and correct inventory shortages, discrepancies, and miscounts.
• Troubleshoot warehouse, inventory, and system-related issues.
• Safely move and handle 55-gallon drums of water and alcohol.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and assist with implementing improvements.
• Maintain an organized, accurate, and efficient warehouse environment.
• Assist with training other Material Handlers as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous material handling, warehouse, inventory, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other material-handling equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
• Ability to troubleshoot inventory and warehouse-related issues.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and adaptable with a positive attitude.
