Description

Our client, a recognized leader in the design and manufacture of battery packs, cable and wire harness assemblies, and electro-mechanical systems, has an immediate opening for a Technical Training Specialist. This role will support manufacturing operations by developing and delivering impactful technical training programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive technical training programs for manufacturing and production personnel
  • Coordinate training schedules to align with production timelines and workforce availability
  • Deliver engaging hands-on and classroom training on equipment use, assembly processes, safety procedures, and quality standards
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and continuously enhance content and delivery methods
  • Maintain accurate training documentation and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with HR, department managers, and subject matter experts to assess training needs and develop appropriate solutions
  • Lead technical onboarding and job-specific training for new hires
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of SOPs, work instructions, and training materials

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing or technical training role within a high-paced production environment
  • Prior experience as a Training Specialist, Training Coordinator, or similar role
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, quality assurance, and production equipment
  • Hands-on knowledge of assembly, crimping, and soldering techniques, including terminal and thru-hole component work. IPC certification is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools
  • Strong ability to adapt training content to different learning styles using adult learning principles
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with strong time management; able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with various departments
