Job summary
The Senior Vice President of Sales will lead the company’s commercial growth strategy globally (North America, Europe and Asia), overseeing all aspects of sales execution, pipeline development, and market expansion. This role requires a seasoned sales leader with deep experience in the biotechnology or life sciences sector, strong strategic acumen, a track record of building high-performing teams and closing significant deals with pharma and biotech customers.
Key responsibilities
Strategic planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive global sales strategy aligned with company goals and long-term growth objectives.
Sales leadership: Lead and manage the sales organization to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
Market expansion: Identify and pursue new market opportunities across key segments. Develop strategies to establish and grow the company’s presence in priority geographies.
Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with marketing, R&D, and operations teams to ensure alignment on go-to-market initiatives, messaging, and customer engagement.
Customer engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and partners. Ensure the sales team is equipped to understand and respond to customer needs.
Commercial readiness: Support product launch planning and execution in collaboration with R&D and marketing teams. Ensure sales readiness and market adoption.
Performance analysis: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics. Provide regular reporting and make data-driven recommendations.
Budget oversight: Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient use of resources to meet business objectives.
Required experience and expertise:
- PhD, or equivalent in neuroscience, neuroengineering, or related life sciences field preferred
- 10+ years of senior-level management experience in the life science tools and platform industry or pharma.
- Experience in pre-clinical and clinical drug development preferred.
- Strong understanding of pharma R&D workflows, drug development and translational challenges.
- Strong relationships in the pharma and biotech industries.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
