Description
We are hiring on behalf of our client for a QC Incoming Inspector to support raw material inspection and in-process quality activities within a regulated manufacturing environment.
This role is responsible for ensuring that incoming materials meet established quality standards prior to use in production, while also supporting in-process inspections to maintain product quality and compliance.
Position Overview
The QC Incoming Inspector plays a key role in quality assurance by reviewing, inspecting, and releasing raw materials, as well as supporting ongoing manufacturing inspections.
This position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to SOPs, and a solid understanding of documentation and quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming inspection of raw materials in accordance with internal procedures and specifications
- Issue lot numbers and apply control labels for incoming materials
- Release approved materials for manufacturing use, including completion of required documentation and inventory labeling
- Conduct in-process inspections and quality line clearances during manufacturing and packaging activities
- Review inspection documentation completed by other inspectors to support material release decisions
- Monitor and perform retain sample inspections, including coordination of required retesting activities
- Support out-of-specification (OOS) investigations and participate in material review processes for nonconforming materials
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for incoming inspection processes and provide training to team members as needed
- Support periodic review and updates of procedures and inspection documentation
- Author and complete quality documentation, including change requests and inspection records
- Ensure all work is documented in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Maintain current training on assigned procedures and quality requirements
- Participate in additional quality or operational projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a quality inspection role within a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device, life sciences, or similar preferred)
- Strong understanding of inspection processes, documentation practices, and quality standards
- Ability to follow SOPs and work within established quality systems
- Experience reviewing and completing quality documentation accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
