
Description
Our client, a high-end electronics manufacturer, has an immediate opening for a Process Engineer. This role will support, develop, and implement assembly manufacturing processes with a strong focus on continuous quality improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Review and critique new job releases to identify and resolve manufacturability concerns without affecting customer development timelines
- Analyze and communicate Design for Manufacturability (DFM) issues to clients, providing actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with the documentation team to create build instructions and visual aids
- Interpret and implement engineering change orders in conjunction with documentation
- Support the seamless transition of products into manufacturing by working closely with process engineering
- Identify in-process DFM issues during manufacturing and provide feedback to clients
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable industry and external standards, serving as a subject matter expert in client meetings
- Ensure all client expectations are met efficiently and on schedule
- Drive improvements in production processes and manufacturing equipment to optimize the build of complex products
- Ensure adherence to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering required
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in SMT, through-hole manufacturing, and box build assembly
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities
- Detail-oriented with superior organizational and time management skills
- Adept at analytical thinking and problem-solving in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
