Summary
Detail-oriented and reliable technician responsible for supporting all post-harvest processing activities. Works under the guidance of the Processing Supervisor and Post Processing Technician III to ensure product quality, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine post-processing tasks across all designated work areas.
• Execute green waste disposal procedures in compliance with company standards.
• Trim batches by hand (snips) with precision and consistency; assist with machine trimming as needed.
• Support dry and cure processes, ensuring proper handling and environmental conditions.
• Maintain strict quality control to ensure all batches meet product and compliance standards.
• Assist with inventory management by accurately recording weights, batches, and processing details.
• Keep all workspaces clean, sanitized, and organized; follow all sanitation and workflow protocols.
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition (no heavy machinery used).
• Perform highly repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment, including standing or remaining in one position for extended periods while trimming product.
Qualifications
• Previous post-harvest or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to focus on sensitive, repetitive, and complex manual tasks.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Individuals with restaurant, food prep, or similar fast-paced backgrounds tend to excel.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while performing repetitive trimming tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Fine motor skills required for precise trimming work.
• Must maintain balance while using ladders and while performing tasks involving stooping, kneeling, reaching, or similar physical movements.
