Description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support the development of advanced robotic equipment. In this role, you'll partner closely with Engineering to assemble, test, troubleshoot, and refine complex electromechanical systems during key development builds. You'll play a critical role in accelerating product development from early-stage prototypes through clinical and pre-commercial readiness.

This is a full-time, on-site position working in a fast-paced lab and engineering build environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, and integrated subsystems for engineering builds.
  • Build directly from CAD models, engineering drawings, and preliminary documentation before formal work instructions are established.
  • Execute engineering build processes, work instructions, and test procedures.
  • Troubleshoot system and subsystem issues while supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Assist with system testing, data collection, and validation activities.
  • Maintain accurate build documentation, including Device History Record (DHR) elements.
  • Identify and communicate material, build, or process issues that may impact quality or project timelines.
  • Support material handling, kitting, and overall build readiness.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing Engineering during early product development, adapting to evolving designs and manufacturing processes.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to improve build efficiency and product quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory and manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering builds, or assembly, preferably within medical device or electromechanical environments.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assembly and system integration.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical work instructions.
  • Experience working from early-stage designs, engineering drawings, or CAD models where documentation and processes are still being developed.
  • Experience supporting assembly, testing, and troubleshooting in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately follow technical documentation and quality procedures.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced product development environment.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting engineering builds for medical devices, robotics, automation, or capital equipment.
