Machine Operator 2nd Shift

Position Overview:
We are currently looking for a Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate and manage turning machines that process plastic materials onto large spindles. The ideal candidate will ensure quality control, accurate production, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately monitor and verify layer counts during production.
• Clearly stamp cores for proper identification.
• Manually lift and transfer rolls from spindles, weigh them, and stack finished rolls in gaylords.
• Ensure that empty gaylord skids are available for use when full gaylords are removed.
• Perform general cleaning and housekeeping tasks to maintain a tidy work area.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of production processes and quality control standards.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Good hand-eye coordination when using sharp blades and box cutters.
• Must adhere to safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and hair nets.
• Work environment is indoors, climate-controlled, and ventilated, but may involve exposure to loud noises, dust, vibration, and manufacturing chemicals.
• Interaction with machinery and moving mechanical parts.
