Description

Finish Line Staffing Services (FLSS) is hiring an IT Manager on behalf of our client, a well-established private social club located in Back Bay, Boston.

Position Overview

The IT Manager is responsible for the streamlined operation, security, and oversight of all technology systems across the organization. This includes computer systems, software platforms, data and voice communications, and network infrastructure.

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this hands-on leadership role ensures the 24/7 reliability of mission-critical systems that support hospitality operations, member services, finance, events, and back-office functions.

This position is ideal for a self-motivated IT professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, maintains high standards of accuracy, and responds effectively under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure availability and performance of all operational systems, including core hospitality platforms such as NorthStar, on a 24/7 basis.

  • Oversee server infrastructure, performance monitoring, operating system upgrades, troubleshooting, and documentation.

  • Maintain and secure wired and wireless network infrastructure, including firewalls, failover tools, web security, and multi-homing devices.

  • Manage Active Directory, user and group accounts, system configurations, and access troubleshooting.

  • Administer backup and recovery procedures to protect data integrity.

  • Oversee virus protection management and diagnose/restore service outages.

  • Provide IT support across departments including back office, sales & catering, HR, and other operational systems.

  • Deliver direct guest-facing technology support for events, function rooms, and conference services.

  • Maintain hardware inventory and manage distribution of laptops, monitors, peripherals, and related equipment.

  • Develop and maintain user procedures and hardware standards.

  • Provide leadership that fosters accountability, professionalism, and collaboration.

  • Support staff training and contribute to a productive work environment.

  • Manage third-party IT vendors and service providers.

  • Contribute to technology capital and operating budgets.

  • Lead IT-related projects, including system upgrades and platform transitions.

  • Support operational needs as required to ensure continuity of service.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive IT experience.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex network and server environments.

  • Strong technical expertise in systems administration, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity.

  • Proven ability to lead initiatives while remaining hands-on.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills.

  • Flexible schedule with availability to support mission-critical systems as needed.

  • Experience in hospitality, private clubs, hotels, or other service-driven environments preferred.
