Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and performance of essential building systems. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient facility environment.
Working closely with the Facilities Supervisor, you will help maintain preventative maintenance programs, respond to day-to-day facility needs, and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems, lighting, fans, and facility infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime
• Support and execute preventative maintenance programs
• Maintain overall facility cleanliness and general upkeep
• Assist with process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
• Handle seasonal responsibilities, including snow removal
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors as needed
Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in a facilities or maintenance role
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or HVAC systems
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive and dependable work style
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods
• Solid understanding of workplace safety practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
