Position Summary
Our client, a leading manufacturer of high-quality medical devices, is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join their team in Mansfield, MA. This position plays a key role in assembling electromechanical and medical device components while maintaining strict adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assemblies, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of medical devices using hand tools, power tools, soldering irons, and fixtures.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and written work instructions to ensure compliance with the company’s Quality System.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Collaborate with supervisors, lead assemblers, and team members to meet production goals and quality requirements.

Accurately complete required documentation for business and regulatory compliance.

Assemble subcomponents, perform wire crimping, and assist in product integration and testing.

Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and hardware callouts.

Conduct final product assembly, inspection, and quality checks.

Report any issues related to quality, materials, processes, or equipment.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Assist in training other assembly team members as needed.

Manage daily priorities effectively to meet established production schedules.
Required Skills & Abilities

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.

Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Proven experience assembling electromechanical components or medical devices.

Basic soldering skills preferred.

Experience handling printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) and performing integration tasks.

Familiarity with inspection tools (e.g., calipers, height gauges) beneficial.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective communication skills (verbal and written).

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Proficient computer skills for documentation and file management.
Education & Experience
-
3–7 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Experience in an ISO 13485 / FDA 21 CFR 820 compliant facility strongly preferred.

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements

Fine motor skills and hand dexterity for assembly tasks.
