
Description
Our client, a high-end electronics manufacturer, has an immediate opening for an AOI Operator. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment used to inspect Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) for defects.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, calibrate, and operate AOI machines; download and process inspection data; monitor equipment functionality
- Perform visual and software-assisted inspection of PCBs to detect defects and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Accurately detect and classify issues such as misaligned components, soldering problems, and missing parts
- Review inspection results, document findings, and communicate quality issues to appropriate production or engineering teams
- Conduct basic maintenance and resolve common equipment issues to maintain performance and reduce downtime
- Perform minor rework or repair tasks on defective boards in accordance with company guidelines
- Verify that all inspected PCBs meet internal and customer quality specifications and standards
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of AOI systems and PCB manufacturing processes
- Ability to detect even minor defects with high accuracy
- Capable of interpreting inspection data and identifying root causes of defects
- Proficient in troubleshooting equipment and process-related issues
- Clear and concise communication with quality, engineering, and production teams
- Collaborative and cooperative approach to achieving team goals
- Ability to adjust to changing production priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
