Refrigeration Technician I

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Refrigeration Technician I to support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of refrigeration systems and subassemblies. This is a great opportunity for an early-career technician looking to build their skills in a hands-on production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical refrigeration components using engineering drawings, schematics, and established procedures.
• Perform brazing, cutting, bending, and general mechanical assembly.
• Set up and test refrigeration subassemblies and completed systems for proper operation and performance.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair refrigeration components and assemblies.
• Work alongside senior technicians and engineering teams to support process improvements, product quality, and system performance.
• Assist with inventory activities, including material picking, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate production, testing, and quality documentation.
• Follow all established safety, quality, and production procedures.

Qualifications

• Technical or vocational training in HVAC, refrigeration, or a related field preferred.
• Journeyman certification is a plus.
• 6 months to 2 years of hands-on refrigeration, HVAC, or related technical experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and refrigeration schematics.
• Basic troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable using computers in a Windows-based environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office is a plus.
