Test Technician III
Position Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Test Technician III to test, troubleshoot, tune, and calibrate advanced RF products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in meeting production schedules, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate has strong RF testing experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and enjoys working collaboratively with engineering and production teams.
Responsibilities
- Test, troubleshoot, tune, and align RF, analog, and digital circuits.
- Perform testing and alignment of X, Ku, and Ka band transceivers.
- Operate and calibrate RF test equipment, including VNAs, spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, and digital multimeters.
- Support weekly and monthly production goals by identifying and resolving test-related issues.
- Ensure all testing complies with engineering documentation and quality standards.
- Participate in production meetings and communicate issues that may impact schedules.
- Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and throughput using Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
- Assist with training and mentoring technicians as needed.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
- Strong experience testing, troubleshooting, and aligning RF systems.
- In-depth knowledge of X, Ku, and Ka band transceivers.
- Experience with manual tab tuning of RF circuits.
- Proficiency using RF test equipment, including VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and DMMs.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work overtime as needed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
- Associate degree in Electronics or a related technical field.
- Military electronics training or equivalent experience.
- Aerospace, defense, or RF manufacturing experience.
- Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
