Laborer

Finish Line Staffing Services is hiring on behalf of our client for a dependable and hardworking Laborer to support daily operations in a busy machine shop environment.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Responsibilities include painting equipment and facility areas, sweeping and cleaning the shop, and assisting with general labor tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweep and clean production floors, work areas, and common spaces
• Paint machinery, equipment, walls, and designated shop areas
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking
• Remove trash, debris, metal shavings, and other materials from the shop floor
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist machine shop personnel with general labor and material handling tasks
• Operate basic hand tools and cleaning equipment safely
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
• Support other departments with additional duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, machine shop, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking throughout the shift
• Comfortable using hand tools and cleaning equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
