Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our client and ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance. This role involves hands-on inspection of incoming, in-process, and finished parts within a regulated manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong metrology skills, experience with precision instruments, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished parts to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct and document First Article and final inspections.
- Interpret and verify engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
- Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and optical comparators.
- Identify and document nonconformances (NCMRs) and assist in root-cause investigations.
- Maintain accurate inspection and calibration records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, efficiency, and process control.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of quality inspection experience in an FDA-regulated or equivalent environment.
- Proficiency with hand measuring tools and metrology equipment.
- CMM operation/programming experience preferred (OGP or FARO Arm).
- Knowledge of GD&T, DCO generation, and basic statistical process control (SPC).
- Oracle or ERP system experience a plus.
