Description

We are hiring on behalf of our client for a mid-level Interaction Designer to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a creative and detail-oriented professional who thrives at the intersection of interaction and visual design. The successful candidate will bring strong design skills, proficiency with modern design tools, and a solid foundation in UX principles to deliver exceptional user experiences for web and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end user flows for touchscreen applications, from low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity mockups.

  • Develop polished visual designs and layouts that meet usability standards, product requirements, and brand guidelines.

  • Create interactive prototypes to support usability testing and stakeholder communication.

  • Maintain and update design specifications and documentation.

  • Translate complex requirements into intuitive, touch-optimized designs.

  • Partner closely with the design lead to execute the creative vision.

  • Collaborate with software engineers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.

  • Participate in, and occasionally lead, design critiques, reviews, and iteration cycles.

  • Contribute to the development of a scalable design system for touchscreen experiences.

  • Stay informed on the latest design trends, tools, and best practices in UI and UX.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of professional experience in UX/UI, interaction, or product design.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing touchscreen application design (e.g., kiosks, medical devices, in-vehicle systems, tablets).

  • Proficient with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Strong visual design skills, including layout, typography, color, and motion.

  • Solid understanding of UX principles, interaction models, and responsive design.

  • Ability to design for varied screen sizes and hardware constraints.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage time across multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience designing for embedded systems, kiosk UIs, or specialized hardware.

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and usability best practices for touch interfaces.

  • Familiarity with front-end development processes or technologies.

  • Experience working with design systems and version control for design assets.

  • Proficiency with advanced prototyping tools (e.g., ProtoPie, Principle, Framer).

  • Exposure to usability testing and interpreting user research.
