Our client, a rapidly growing closed-door pharmacy, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Manager. This position will play a key leadership role in promoting medication adherence and ensuring the efficient onboarding of patients, all within a supportive and well-resourced team setting.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train, and lead a team of pharmacy technicians to meet operational targets and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
• Oversee daily workflow and drive process improvements to maximize accuracy and efficiency
• Manage scheduling, task assignments, and PTO coordination to support business needs
• Collaborate with pharmacists, IT, and operations to implement and optimize pharmacy automation technologies (e.g., automated dispensing systems)
• Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices for all technician-related activities
• Ensure compliance with DSCSA standards and participate in inventory automation initiatives
• Support hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations for technician staff
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and long-term strategic planning
• Prepare and present performance metrics and quality indicators to pharmacy leadership
• Handle incoming and outgoing customer communications as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3–5+ years of experience managing or leading pharmacy technician teams
• In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations, compliance standards, and quality assurance practices
• Proven experience in high-growth pharmacy settings, with exposure to automation technologies
• Strong critical thinking, organizational, and time management skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license required
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred; may be obtained post-hire
• Experience in retail or long-term care pharmacy settings preferred
• Ability to perform occasional weekend coverage as needed
