CNC Machinist

Our client, a producer of battery solutions for the maritime market, has an immediate opening for a CNC Machinist. This role will support manufacturing operations by optimizing production, managing subcontractor operations, and driving continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Create jobs from orders using Epicor software, including developing routers with processes and operation times to complete the manufacture of various parts
• Issue materials and schedule parts to optimize the flow of product through manufacturing and subcontractor operations
• Collaborate actively with engineering to improve design for manufacturability
• Identify and lead process improvement efforts utilizing lean techniques
• Work with the purchasing department to ensure timely availability of materials needed for each job

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• 2-4 years working with CNC Machinery
• Strong track record of driving lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Sound decision-making abilities
• Ability to multitask between day-to-day tasks and improvement initiatives
• A continuous learner with a growth mindset
• Experience machining parts
