
Description
Our client, a leading provider of groundbreaking medical technology, has an immediate opening for a Wafer Fabrication Technician. This role will perform operations associated with the fabrication and testing of wafer level pressure sensor devices.
Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment in performing photolithography, mask alignment, metallization, and wet etching with glass and SOI wafers
- Safely handle chemicals typical of use in the above production processes, including hydrofluoric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, TMAH, and various metal etchants
- Follow established work instructions and document production metrics throughout fabrication process
- Measure and inspect wafers using microscopy, profilometry, and thin film tools
- Process parts as per priorities and deliver with minimal supervision
- Perform equipment set-up and may perform routine preventative maintenance
- Work with engineers and technicians to resolve production problems and suggest improvements
- Assist engineers with experiments, data collection, qualifications, and reporting
- Adhere to general safety rules, manufacturing procedures, company policies and procedures, Quality System Policies, and FDA regulations
Requirements:
- A minimum of a High School diploma
- Associate degree or higher in technical field preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years of related work experience in semiconductor/MEMS industry or clean room
- Excellent fine motor skills, including the ability to handle small, fragile materials using tweezers
- Comfortable wearing full cleanroom attire and working under yellow lighting
- Able to follow written operational procedures
- Ability to multi-task and approach tasks with detail-oriented manner
- Good communication skills
- Intermediate skills in speaking, writing, and reading in English
- Great work ethic and ability to work well with others
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Familiarity with Disco dicing equipment a plus
