
Description
Our client, a fast-moving startup producing game-changing cooling solutions for aerospace, electric vehicles, and data centers, has an immediate opening for a Senior Process Engineer. This role will establish and implement the process and test strategy for a portfolio of cooling products.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate, understand capabilities, and build relationships with potential supply chain partners to qualify them for partnerships in electronics manufacturing service (EMS) box and component build
- Work closely with the internal and external supplier design teams to identify requirements and tradeoffs in the development and building of products
- Perform research of production techniques and suppliers to stay up to date on the latest process technology developments
- Develop new, scalable production methods and processes for volume production of new thermal technology products
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in a mechanical, aerospace, or industrial engineering field and 7+ years of experience in design and manufacturing, OR bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience
- Strong communication skills for interfacing with fabrication partners
- Desire to visit manufacturing sites to understand capabilities, build relationships, and verify processes
- Ability to identify and help mitigate risk
- Flexibility to adapt to unforeseen requirements/specifications changes
- Comfortable in a fast-paced technology startup with multiple simultaneous projects
- Demonstrated competence and experience with Solidworks
- S. Citizenship is required
- Experience with the following production technologies is a plus: Machining, Polymer and Metal Molding, Casting, Sheetmetal, Adhesive Bonding, Welding, Laser Cutting and Drilling, Leak Testing, PCBA Fab, Assembly Automation, and Tooling Development
- Experience in the scaling and outsourcing of hardware startups is a plus
- Experience in production of designs involving precision components is a plus
