
Description
Our client, a provider of product design, engineering consulting, and digital solutions for industrial, defense, and medical device companies, has an immediate opening for an experienced business development professional. This is not a transactional sales role.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new logo business by developing and executing strategic account plans
- Understand client business challenges and identify opportunities to support critical product innovation goals
- Qualify all new opportunities to ensure fit
- Manage all new leads assigned to produce new business
- Collaborate on proposal development with Business Unit Director and Project Management team
- Lead customer contract negotiations with assistance from Senior Leadership Team
- Manage the end-to-end solution sales process by working closely with marketing, project managers, and senior executives. This role owns the relationship with the client.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in any business or technical field
- Five (5) years minimum experience
- Proven business development success in the professional services industry
- Proven experience utilizing solution selling techniques to the executive level for consulting services
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to sell products and services
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong networking skills to build relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Proficiency in using smartphones and digital technologies to enhance communication
- Adept at using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and data
- In-depth knowledge of sales strategy, product demonstration, and sales reports
- Public speaking skills
