
Description
Our client, a spatial biology company, has an immediate opening for a Research Associate I to work as an Image Specialist. This role will operate digital imaging systems and review digital slide scans.
Responsibilities:
- Assess staining performance and report feedback to study team
- Collaborate with other team members to accomplish specific task/team objectives within project timelines
- Demonstrate proactive thinking in execution of tasks involved with all projects
- Exhibit excellent organizational skills, in coordinating project duties within the study team
- Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA rules
- Perform required quality control procedures for compliance with all local, state, and federal law; responsible for all proper documentation
- Follow all safety precautions when using chemicals and reagents demonstrating knowledge of OSHA standards and in concordance with BSL2 laboratory safety
- Other responsibilities as required
Requirements:
- BS/BA degree in a Life science is preferred
- Highly organized with attention to detail and excellent time management and organization skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills: speed, accuracy, and ability to learn new software rapidly
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and deadlines
- Passion for pathology and personalized medicine
- Experience in a service lab such as an academic core lab, pathology services lab, or a microscopy services lab at a cancer center is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with tissue-based staining and imaging is a plus but not required
