General Summary

Our client is seeking a skilled Refurbishment Technician to evaluate, test, repair, and refurbish a wide range of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and optical products. This role is essential in ensuring all refurbished equipment meets quality, performance, and safety standards. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting skills, proficiency with test equipment, and the ability to follow detailed refurbishment procedures.

Essential Job Functions

  • Evaluate, repair, calibrate, and refurbish mechanical, electronic, and optical subassemblies and systems using technical manuals and written procedures.

  • Operate standard test equipment, including oscilloscopes, DVMs, and power/energy meters.

  • Document all refurbishment activities by creating and completing work orders and maintenance reports within dedicated service software.

  • Support logistics and shipping tasks when needed (must be able to lift up to 80 lbs).

  • Troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions efficiently.

  • Maintain accurate inventory control and ensure organized storage of parts and tools.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

  • Vocational training in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in refurbishment, repair, testing, or a similar technical industry.

  • Must be comfortable being around high voltage & laser emitting sources
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, DVMs, and other test equipment.

  • Strong electro-mechanical assembly and soldering capabilities.

  • Familiarity with electronic lab environments and safety practices.

  • Experience with ERP systems; Oracle/ServiceMax experience preferred.

  • High attention to detail, strong organizational ability, and accurate documentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Team-oriented, proactive, and enthusiastic work approach; strong multi-tasking abilities.
