
Description
Our client, a technology leader in delivering photonic innovations to meet illumination, optical, optronic, sensing, detection, and imaging needs, has an immediate opening for a Process Technician. This position will perform processes such as running exhaust pumps, gas backfilling to desired fill, and running and understanding leak detection equipment as used in the production of bulbs in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Pinch off lamps with hand and hydraulic pinch-off tool
- Mount bulbs to manifolds to backfill to a certain pressure
- May make updates/changes to documentation to capture current process or correct
documentation errors - Request gases when needed to support production (Xenon)
- Use various valves and gauges
- Make decisions during processing based on vacuum pressure (once trained to basic knowledge)
- Effectively communicate with and engage all levels of the organization verbally and in writing
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of prior vacuum processing experience, or other equivalent training and experiences
- Specialized training in vacuum technology
- Previous experience manufacturing gas filled vessels is preferred
- Ability to allocate time and resources efficiently, focusing on ever-shifting priorities
- Ability to sit for at least 8 hours a day
- Ability to adhere to gowning requirements in a controlled environment which would include
wearing finger cots, gloves, ESD Smocks, and Safety Glasses - Adequately vaccinated against COVID-19
- Can read English and interpret work instructions
