Our client, an emerging leader in the field of in vitro diagnostics, has an immediate opening for a Master Scheduler/Planner. This role will plan, prepare, issue, and control materials according to production schedules to ensure a controlled flow of raw and approved finished goods materials timed to meet production requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production
- Execute according to production schedules for all product lines; initiate work orders and establish priorities for ensuring 100% on-time delivery of all customer orders
- Interface day-to-day with operations to ensure readiness of the production schedule and timely release of product
- Expedite and prioritize work orders and coordinate/manage daily production schedule meetings
- Issue and track work orders, ensuring that the required lot material is allocated and supplied to the production floor
- Maintain and reconcile inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipate supply needs
- Advise management on the status of work in progress, material availability, inventory levels, and potential material supply and/or schedule disruptions
- Communicate with operations teams and/or engineers on upcoming work and potential issues related to material availability
- Work closely with all stakeholders to identify and plan for internal material demand (R&D, clinical, etc.) requirements
- Participate in annual inventory audit and count all physical inventory according to annual audit deadlines
- Analyze On Time Delivery (OTD) variances; identify root causes and effective corrective actions
- Perform lot history review
- Perform other materials and/or supply chain related tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with Oracle and strong computer skills (Word, Excel)
- 5+ years of experience in demand and/or supply planning within an ISO and FDA environment
- Must have solid understanding of manufacturing processes
- Must enjoy working in a hands-on role and have a successful track record of building effective processes
- Must be results-oriented, have strong collaboration and communication skills, and work with a positive attitude
- Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload
- CPIM, CSCP, or SCOR-P certification a plus
- Understanding of Rough Cut Capacity and Theory of Constraints planning helpful
