Our client, a developer of medical technology, has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Technician. This role will be primarily responsible for critical manufacturing steps related to a novel medical device.
Responsibilities:
- Manufacture, assemble, and inspect components and assemblies for R&D and commercial purposes
- Perform bead blasting and laser welding of surgical instruments
- Perform laser marking of surgical instruments
- Operate machinery such as heat-sealing of medical device packaging
- Perform preventative maintenance of company equipment
- Complete documentation (e.g. router steps) for operations performed
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience and device assembly (preferably in highly regulated industry such as medical, DoD, or aerospace)
- SOP’s related to Manufacturing Processes; Inspection; Document Control; Traceability; Calibration; Process Control and Corrective and Preventive Actions; and Preventative Maintenance Quality System support requirements
- Ability to handle small medical devices and surgical instruments with attention to detail and quality
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, and working under tight time deadlines
- Good hand-to-eye coordination
- Ability to follow instructions and process specifications
- General working knowledge of computers
