
Description
Our client, a developer and manufacturer of simple-to-use diagnostic blood testing analyzers, has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Document, qualify, and implement tooling, fixtures, and assembly/test equipment
- Oversee and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and documentation –
including procedures, drawings, and bills of material - Act as the Equipment Engineer to ensure the systems are in good working condition and properly maintained
- Help identify and resolve manufacturing issues, and implement corrective and preventive
actions - Identify process and/or equipment improvements that will increase production throughout
and/or meet changing requirements - Generate and publish Validations and Verifications along with Document Change Notices
and Temporary Deviation Documents
Requirements:
- BS or AS in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing most relevant), and 3-8 years relevant engineering or equivalent experience will be considered
- Must be a well-rounded, process-oriented engineer with solid writing and documentation skills
- Must be proficient in MS-Word and digital photography (to write procedures)
- SolidWorks experience is desired
- Medical device manufacturing and/or design experience is desired
- Experience with Allen Bradley ladder-logic programming of PLC’s (programmable logic controllers) is desired
- A general knowledge of mechanical/electrical/pneumatic equipment and mfg./test processes is desirable. Basic troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems using test equipment and digital multimeter.
- Solid writing and verbal communication skills are required, as well as a basic understanding of GMP’s and ISO requirements
