Description

Our client, a well established innovator in orthopedic and tissue care, has an immediate need for a Field Inventory Specialist (FIS). The FIS ensure accurate medical device product inventory within company’s ERP system as integrated with 3rd party Field Inventory Management (FIM) platform. The FIS will use information from various sources and execute standard processes within SAP (S/4HANA) and integrated cloud-based FIM platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve or correct inventory orders
  • Create inventory replenishment orders
  • Create inbound and outbound shipments
  • Execute inventory transfers
  • Manage RMA process
  • Triage inventory disparities
  • Other duties and processes as assigned

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in business administration or related field, bachelor’s desired
    • May accept training certificate with relevant experience
    • Dependable and diligent, enjoys being productive
    • Detail oriented, able to transfer and input data and information with minimal mistakes, and to identify & resolve mistakes which have occurred
  • Working knowledge of order entry in a formal ERP system (SAP, Oracle, etc.), specific experience with SAP S/4HANA highly preferred
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to enter sales orders into SAP (S/4HANA or similar)
  • History of managing product inventory including transfers and reconciliations
  • Experience with onsite warehouses, 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) sites, and / or field inventory / trunk stock
  • Prior work with ERP systems integrated with 3rd party Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms
  • Experience working within a regulated field and / or within a company’s Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Microsoft Excel skills (writing and interpreting basic formulas)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams
  • Discerning, able to differentiate similar situations that require different processing
  • Ability to complete tasks autonomously, and to escalate exceptions / issues to manager for support or direct action
  • Aptitude for software systems, and willingness to learn new platforms
  • Ability to effectively train on, then interpret and apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Business Process Procedures (BPPs)
