Our client, a technology leader in delivering photonic innovations to meet illumination, optical, optronic, sensing, detection, and imaging needs, has an immediate opening for an Assembly Technician.

Responsibilities:

• Perform electro/mechanical operations on PWB’s, panel, and major assemblies
• Perform various repair/rework operations
• Perform any/all other duties as required to support manufacturing objectives
• Regular soldering, wire cutting, stripping, and bolting
• Utilization of various hand tools and semi-automatic equipment required to perform daily tasks

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-5 years of related assembly experience in military electronics or similar environment
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years hand soldering experience (solder Certified to IPC-A-610 and or J-STD-001 preferred)
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to compress common size wire strippers and crimping tools
  • Ability to work in a position requiring fine motor skills and repetitive motion
  • Ability to sit for at least 8 hours a day
  • Ability to adhere to gowning requirements in a controlled environment which would include wearing finger cots, gloves, ESD Smocks, and Safety Glasses
• Able to work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognized the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice
• Must be able to follow established procedures on routine work and instructions on newly introduced assignments
