
Description
Our client, a technology leader in delivering high-performance, market-driven photonic innovations to meet illumination, optical, optronic, sensing, detection, and imaging needs, has an immediate opening for an Assembly Technician. This role will be responsible for helping to meet continuous improvement goals such product cost reduction, overall product quality improvement, reduced product cycle times, and process validations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform bulb alignment using computer reticle
- Retrieve alignment files from computer to enable technician to align product
- Operate various resistance welding and Laser welding equipment
- Assemble and weld Sparker and other subassemblies using magnification light and/or microscope
- Work from and interpret drawings, work instructions, photos, pick lists, and routers
- Receive assignments to perform a wide variety of the most complex precision assembly operations, which may vary from day-to-day as required by Daily Build Plan
- Maintain point of use inventory and be responsible for its accuracy
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Desire and drive to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to manipulate and adjust small parts while viewing real time video image
- Ability to work with small parts using microscope and/or magnification light
- Excellent hand/finger dexterity
- Mandatory for every employee to be adequately vaccinated against COVID-19
