
Description
Our client, a global leader of measurement and precision instruments for industry, laboratories, and retail, has an immediate opening for an Assembler. This role will maintain and support a “5S” clean work environment based on the provided training for lean management.
Responsibilities:
- Follow documented work descriptions and/or other instructions to assemble products as trained and assigned to produce
- Recognize, report, and document real or potential process errors to team lead and document the identified process error in the disturbance tracker
- Perform automated functional or performance testing for finished products as trained
- Print labels from predefined program
- Pack final product as required for shipment according to documentation
- Seek and attend training designed to improve individual skills and performance, or quality of product and processes
- Complete required reporting and tracking metrics
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Ability to read and understand English language documentation required
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing and 5S concepts is required
- Understanding of various material replenishment processes (JIT, Kitting, Kan-ban) is desired
- Experience in a fast-paced work environment using hand and light duty tools
- Experience in electrical and electromechanical system level assemblies
- Soldering experience desired
