Our client, located north of Portland, ME is a prominent manufacturer of products in the sports and outdoor industries is experiencing growth. We are looking for a career minded, positive and enthusiastic person who is self-motivated and enjoys dynamic and continuous challenges.

Requirements:
• BS Degree in the Sciences, preferably Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• 4-8 years of industry experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment
• Learn, implement and make improvements to manufacturing processes

Responsibilities:
• Continuous improvement of all manufacturing processes within the facility
• Update and develop standard operating procedures for new products/processes
• Analyze data to identify root causes of defects or process variation and implement corrective action in conjunction with Manufacturing
• Improve manufacturing efficiencies, analyzing work flow, space requirements, proper methodology, and equipment and cell layout
• Document equipment/process abnormalities to follow up corrective actions and /or process improvements
• Assist with development, experimental and investigative projects including compound formulations, tooling, and material and product testing
• Contribute to tooling design and modification
Strong consideration for experience in:
• Polyurethane and/or injection molding industry
• Quality inspection – statistical analysis writing process, time studies or general manufacturing experience
• Lab Operations
