Description

Our client, a leading manufacturer of high-quality electronic components, is seeking an experienced AOI Operator to join their production team. This position plays a key role in ensuring product excellence by inspecting Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) using state-of-the-art Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, sharp attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate AOI Equipment: Set up, calibrate, and operate AOI machines to inspect PCBs; process inspection data and monitor equipment performance.

  • Inspect PCBs: Perform visual and software-assisted inspections to identify defects and verify compliance with internal and customer standards.

  • Identify Defects: Detect and categorize issues such as misaligned components, soldering defects, and missing parts with precision.

  • Analyze & Report: Review inspection data, document results, and communicate quality issues to production and engineering teams.

  • Troubleshoot & Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance, resolve common technical issues, and ensure optimal equipment performance.

  • Rework Defective PCBs (as needed): Conduct minor repairs or rework in alignment with company quality procedures.

  • Ensure Quality Compliance: Maintain adherence to all quality protocols and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: Working knowledge of AOI systems, SMT processes, and PCB manufacturing principles.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to detect even minor discrepancies with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Analytical Thinking: Skilled in interpreting inspection data and identifying root causes of quality issues.

  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot equipment and process challenges effectively.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Teamwork: Cooperative mindset and ability to work well within a fast-paced production environment.

  • Adaptability: Flexible and able to adjust to shifting production priorities or timelines.
